with much comfort unless you go to some heroics to modify them (better brakes, more power, PullRite or Hensley hitch). Otherwise, they are all good choices. I like my Jeep Cherokee too, for it's cargo capacity (modest, not huge), price, and offroad prowess. That said, I think the Subaru route deserves your consideration. Those are great cars, and you might be able to find a 2002-vintage WRX wagon for a good price. They are very sensible for a college guy (moving furniture, moving a bunch of people) but still get good mileage if you drive gently and give you sports car thrills if you don't.
